Warmth among the missiles

A war broke out, again, a time of instability, anxiety and stress. Constant sirens blaring, children confused at home….

Bread for Israel sent thousands of fresh loaves of bread across Israel to fill families with strength and security.

Here is a beautiful letter we received:

It’s Shushan Purim,

I wake up at 6 am after a night of many loud warnings on my phone of incoming missiles and the sound of blaring sirens sending us scurrying to our bomb shelter.

I go to daven Shacharis.

I wonder where I will get bread to feed the children back at home.

To get to the grocery store is impossible.

I’m exhausted from our sleepless night.

As I walk home, I see the crate loaded with bread, sitting right outside the Shul!!!

It was as if I called out to Hashem, and was answered!! I couldn’t believe it!!

How does the amazing organization - Bread for Israel, have the ability to organize bread even in times of war and during Purim.

It’s such a holy day, where worlds can be turned upside down and great miracles can happen through davening!!!

There is someone thinking about us families with many children. There is someone worrying about the children of Kollel families  - so they should not be lacking any bread!

May you have much Hatzlacha and only good.

Y. Feldmen

We reached out to our Gabbaim to find out if they needed less bread as it gets closer to Pesach.. These are some of the responses we received!!

“Our boys are home and eating more! Please order the regular amount”

“Since all the children are in the house we need the regular amount”

"For sure the regular amount!! Everyone is happy about the downpouring of Mann!!”

“In times of war, when the days are not regular, we see how much more this distribution is needed. These  days are full of uncertainty, which affects the financial situation for so many families…”

Especially now during the war the bread runs out much faster these days than it does every week, probably because the children are at home and eating more.

“Thanks to you, many families have bread for their children. We should merit this year to eat from the real Karbon Pesach - Min Hapsachim Umin Hazvachim”
